The picture above shows the founder of the
company, Sven Byström, and his son Håkan standing in front of the first factory building
about 1953.
Håkan became President in
1966 and while the company is still located on the same site, it now
has grown tremendously. In
2001 Bycosin was acquired by Octel Corporation. In 2004 Bycosin was spun
off from Octel and is now an independent company.

History
Bycosin was founded in 1947 when there was a demand for
anything that might help burn the fuel that was available to industry
after World War II. Bycosin solved that problem by creating an oil soluble iron
that allowed the fuel to burn more completely without adding harmful
ingredients to the atmosphere.
Bycosin now
manufactures fuel treatment
for all types of industrial applications from utilities to the marine
industry.
The company's mission is "solving heavy fuel
related problems", together with strategic alliances.
